Here are some steps to troubleshoot if a coupon code isn't working:

1. Check the fine print for promo code exclusions or restrictions. Some codes exclude certain brands, products, or product categories. Make sure the item isn’t excluded. Also, codes expire, so double check the expiration date or time frame. Some codes can only be used once per customer or have usage limits. See if the code has already been used. Certain codes only apply to specific products or require you to buy 2+ items. Ensure the cart qualifies.

2. Try switching the browser or device. Online promo codes can be finicky and may not work in certain browsers. Switch between Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge and see if the code works in another browser. Also try on a mobile device vs desktop if possible.

3. Disable browser extensions temporarily. Browser extensions like Honey, Capital One Shopping, or Rakuten can interfere with promo codes and cause issues. Try disabling all extensions temporarily and retrying the code without any extensions enabled. Don’t forget to re-enable extensions after purchasing!

4. Clear cookies, cache & site data. Over time, cookies, cached files, and site data can build up and cause online promo code problems. Clearing this data gives the browser a fresh slate.

5. Try incognito or private browsing mode.

6. Contact customer service for help.

7. Search for a new working promo code. Keep trying new codes until one that works is found.

Remember, these are general troubleshooting steps and may not work for all websites. If none of these steps work, it might be best to reach out to the customer service of the specific website for further assistance.
