Bean Box free shipping: calculate your cart by roaster

At Bean Box, adding up the whole coffee cart is not enough to check the free-shipping minimum. The amount from each roaster matters. This is particularly useful to check when trying coffees from several roasters in one order.

The published minimums

Bean Box's official shipping FAQ, reviewed on October 14, 2026, lists $39 of qualifying coffee from one roaster for members and $49 for non-members. The minimum applies separately to each roaster. It covers standard shipping; expedited delivery and coffee subscription deliveries have different treatment. Some large items do not count toward the minimum.

A two-roaster example

The following basket is illustrative, not a tested cart. A non-member chooses $52 of eligible coffee from Roaster A and $32 from Roaster B. The order totals $84, but A and B are evaluated separately. A clears the $49 minimum; B does not.

If an additional eligible bag from B costs $18, adding it brings B to $50 and the whole basket to $102. Whether that helps your budget depends on the delivery charge it removes and whether you wanted the bag. For example, if the avoided charge were $7, buying the bag would add $11 to the overall cost. That $7 is an invented example, not a Bean Box shipping quote.

What to compare before payment

Use the cart's displayed progress and final charges to confirm your order. If a subscription or large item is included, read its own shipping conditions instead of applying the coffee minimum automatically.
